Rob Wellington
"Outback Artist "Rob was born in Blackburn Victoria in 1940, the second oldest of thirteen children. He started drawing & Sketching from an early age and worked on farms in the bush. Robs influence was Sir Hans Heyson & he dreamed of capturing the landscapes of Australia in a similar manner. Rob then moved to White cliffs and became a opal miner & professional artist. In 2005 Rob moved to the Adelaide foothills and continues to paint for many collectors around the world. His work has continued to appreciate over the years and no doubt will continue to do so in the following years. Its true to say that this artist has achieved his childhood dreams, with his success as a landscape artist in the tradition of Heyson, his opal mine, and his lifestyle....
